  • How much does it cost to charter a helicopter?
    This depends on your itinerary, location and the type of aircraft you require.  Contact Helitrip on the number above for a no-obligation quotation or use our Quick Quote feature.

  • Is it o.k. to take photos or video during the flight?
    Yes.  Equipment is taken onboard at your own risk and must be kept inside the aircraft at all times.

  • Will the flight be noisy?
    No. You will be equipped with headsets whilst on board so that you can talk to other passengers and the Pilot.

  • How many passengers can you carry?
    The Bell 206 JetRanger can carry up to 4 passengers plus the Pilot.  The Agusta Westland AW109 Power can carry up to 6 passengers plus the Pilot.  We also have access to a wider range of partner aircrafts, suitable for larger parties.   • Where will my pleasure flight depart from?
    We fly from various locations throughout Shropshire.  This will be confirmed in advance with your flight booking.

  • Will it be cold during the flight?
    No, the aircraft is fully heated.

  • Are there any weight restrictions?
    Yes. For safety reasons we will ask the total weight of your party during your booking and any luggage you may have.  The maximum weight for each individual is 21 stone.

  • How long will my flight take?

  • How fast does the helicopter travel?
    The Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter has a cruise speed of 110kts / 125 mph.  For further information, visit our Fleet Information page.

  • Will the weather affect my flight?
    Yes, it can do. We make every effort to make sure you arrive as per your itinerary; however the unpredictable British weather can sometimes present problems. In the unlikely event that the Pilot cannot get you to your destination, an alternative method of transport will be arranged.

  • Will refreshments be provided on my flight?
    We would be happy to provide refreshments such as Champagne during your flight, simply enquire when making your booking.

  • Do you cater for disabled passengers?
    Yes. We will endeavour to do everything we can to cater for your requirements.  Safety regulations by the Civil Aviation Authority state that an able-bodied passenger must be willing and able to assist a disabled passenger off the aircraft in the event on an emergency.

  • Can you land the helicopter anywhere?
    Travelling by helicopter allows the flexibility of being able to land almost anywhere. We simply need sufficient, obstable-free landing space and the land owner’s permission.

  • Is there a landing charge?
    Some locations do charge a landing fee, however this cost will be highlighted on your booking quotation.
